Ultimate Kayaks was initially established to provide top end equipment into the canoe racing world. We work with some of the top brands in the sport and brands that are at the cutting edge of design and innovation in the sport. 

Founded by Ivan Lawler, 6 time World Champion and 3 time Olympian, we can ensure the advice we can give to our customers and the coaching aspect of our site are all top quality and based on 45 years experience in the sport. 

Ivan still races occasionally and coaches at Elmbridge Canoe Club, one of the most successful clubs in the UK

Nelo Kayaks

Nelo are our sole boat supplier, and any other boat brands sold through our site are all manufactured at the Nelo factory with Nelo quality being at the heart of them all.

All boats are bought to customer order but occasionally we will get stock or high quality 2nd hand boats if the situation arises.

Nelo is the worlds leading brand and consistently wins more medals at World and Olympic competition than all the other brands combined. We have worked alongside Nelo for 20 years.

Paddles

Our range of paddles has increased over the years to reflect how personal paddle choice is for individuals. We only work with companies who design and manufacture their own paddles and they are the three brands that attract the most copycat designs, which is testament to their quality.

Epic Paddles

We began with Epic as they were the brand Ivan was using himself , designed by Olympic Champion Greg Barton they are at the cutting edge of paddles.

Braca Paddles

Probably the most popular brand worldwide though are Braca paddles, with their Hungarian pedigree they are the most medal winning paddle in international competition.

Jantex Paddles

Our third brand is Jantex, relatively new to the race scene but have proved super popular due to high quality manufacture, modern design and a complete range of sizes and shafts to suit all users.
