Brača VII is designed with a more extreme 'tear-drop' shape, which facilitates a very powerful catch.
This design maximizes the working blade area when it is only partially submerged in the water, especially at the beginning and the end of the stroke cycle.
Due to the special shape, this blade feels bigger compared to a normal ‘tear-drop’ blade with the same area size. The Brača VI is recommended for adult male athletes, while the smaller, identically shaped Brača VII is recommended for adult women athletes.
This blade has been getting increasingly popular in the past years, due to the fact that Danuta KOZAK (HUN) won two Olympic gold medals in London and three golds in Rio using a Brača VII 745 paddle
Brača VIII is based on the latest innovative blade concept. It was designed and engineered to facilitate a softer catch and generation of smooth, precise and consistent strokes.
You can also choose the stiffness of the shaft. We recommend a stiffer shaft for bigger blades but any combination is possible.
Braca Paddle Shaft Options
All Brača VII paddles are available with a fixed shaft, a Metal Adjustable Shaft System or the more precise Memory Lock System. These allow elegant adjustment of overall paddle length (within 5cm range) and blade angle from 0° to 90° right or left. You can also disassemble the paddle into two parts for easy transportation.

The Metal adjuster clamp system is designed for professional grade paddles. It provides maximum strength and pitch adjustment precision with 5° scale resolution.

NEW Plastic I.
The new Plastic I. adjuster clamp system provides an economical adjustment option for children and recreational paddles. The pitch can be easily adjusted with the help of the 15° resolution scale.

Plastic II.
The Plastic II. adjuster clamp system is used on the dragon and outrigger paddles. The clamp can be adjusted using the provided allen key.

Braca Paddle Stiffness:
The shaft stiffness is our recommendation according to the blade size, but any combination is possible.
If you are higher and/or stronger than the average, you might need a stiffer shaft.
We recommend stiffer shafts for short distance racing and softer shafts for long distances.
Kayak Paddle Shaft Stiffness Range
Kayak paddles can be ordered with 24 types of shafts, with a 1.8 (stiff ) to 4.9 (soft) stiffness range.
We show the recommended stiffness of each paddle, but give you the option to vary that stiffness.
